A young couple moved into a new neighbourhood. The next morning while eating breakfast, the young woman saw her neighbour through the window hanging the wash outside.
"That laundry is not clean," she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap".
Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time the neighbour would hang laundry to dry, the young woman would make the same
comments.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look, she has learnt how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this!"
The husband replied: "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."
And so it is with life.
What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.
Easy to discuss other people, their lives and things that don't really concern us.
Yet we tend to forget- our window isn't that clean after all.

Voice of America: Russian-Backed Offensive Stalls in Syria
WASHINGTON - Russian intervention in Syria appears to have shored-up President Bashar al-Assad's hold on power, but the latest U.S. assessment indicates slickly produced videos meant to show off Moscow's military actually are covering up what might be difficulties both in the air and on the ground.
"While the front lines may move in favor of the regime in the near-term, retaining any newly re-gained territory will be a hard task," a U.S. intelligence official told VOA on condition of anonymity.
So far, most of the gains from the Russian-backed ground offensive have come in the northwestern part of Syria, where Russian airpower has supported a mix of forces loyal to Assad along with some Shi'ite militiamen from Iraq and Iranian forces.
WNU Editor: This war has been going on for four years, a few thousand Russian soldiers and Iranian/Hezbollah fighters are not going to speed up the course of this conflict, and with Saudi Arabia now openly arming the rebels .... Saudi Arabia just replenished Syrian rebels with one of the most effective weapons against the Assad regime (Business Insider) .... this war is probably going to go on for a long time.
